Got Fleas? Read this before heading to the store for flea killers.

Fleas can make life uncomfortable for dogs and even humans.  There are flea killers at the grocery store but almost all of them have toxic ingredients in them.  Before subjecting your pet and your family to these toxins, read this.

I love basic H2 I used it for fleas and ticks on our dog. we mixed 2.5 oz of basic  H2 5 oz of distilled vinager & the rest water in a 16oz bottle sprayed the dog good rubbed it in and let it dry on it's own and not one flee or tick was on him and we only had to spray him once evey 2 -3 months. That was one happy dog!

Never be Sick Again

Here's some food for thought.

"God created our bodies at the cellular level. We need to feed our cells
the nutrients that they need. We have the power to heal ourselves.”

There is only one disease (malfunctioning cells) and 2 causes:
#1. deficiency of nutrients
#2. toxicity
Correct these causes and you will enjoy a higher quality of health.

800 Numbers

This was passed on to me by my Brother.  Please read and pass it on.

Any time you call an 800 number (for a credit card, banking, charter communications, health and other insurance, computer help desk, etc) and you find that you're talking to a foreign customer service representative (perhaps in India, Philippines, etc), please consider doing the following:

After you connect and you realize that the customer service representative is not from the USA (you can always ask if you are not sure about the accent), please, very politely
(this is not about trashing other cultures) say, "I'd like to speak to a customer service representative in the United States of America ."

The rep might suggest talking to his/her manager, but, again, politely say, "Thank you, but I'd like to speak to a customer service representative in the USA ." YOU WILL BE IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED TO A REP IN THE USA . That's the rule and the LAW.

It takes less than one minute to have your call re-directed to the USA . Tonight when I got redirected to a USA rep, I asked again to make sure - and yes, she was from Fort Lauderdale .

Imagine what would happen if every US citizen insisted on talking to only US phone reps from this day on. Imagine ho w that would ultimately impact the number of US jobs that would
need to be created ASAP.
If I tell 10 people to consider this and you tell 10 people to consider doing this - see what I mean...it becomes an exercise in viral marketing 101.

Remember - the goal here is to restore jobs back here at home - not to be abrupt or rude to a foreign phone rep. You may even get correct answers, good advice, and solutions to your problem - in real English.

If you agree, please tell 10 people you know, and ask them to tell 10 people they know....etc...etc

Shaklee and my Low Body Temperature

I have a low body temperature.  I discovered this back in my teenage years. This means I'm comfortable at lower temperatures then most other people.  The temperatures that many people find comfortable are hot to me.   It's an advantage during the winter if I'm living by my self - I don't have to turn the heat up as high.  That may sound great to people but it has had some big disadvantages.  It makes me more sensitive to heat.  I have had to be careful about heat exhaustion.  Summer could be a real problem as could working in close proximity to a restaurant dishwasher.  I noticed that as I got older, the heat seemed to mess with me more and more.  I was introduced to Shaklee products not too long ago.  I've noticed that since I started using them, I seem to be more tolerant of heat.  The change took place gradually enough that it went un-noticed for a long time but while I still have my limitations on how much heat I can stand but I can tolerate more heat than I used to.  I can still handle cold just as well too.   I believe the products that helped me with this were Vitalizer and Vivix.

Basic H and Dry Skin

I recently ran out of my hand creme.  My hands were dry and I needed to put something on them.  I remembered reading something about Basic H that said it was good for burns so I decided to try rubbing a few drops of Basic H into my skin to see what would happen.  It helped. It wasn't as good as the creme but it still worked better than anything I've used from the store.  I didnt even have to keep applying it over and over.  Hows that for versatility?  Imagine that!  Here's a cleaning agent that actually helps dry skin instead of making it worse.

Help for 15-yr old with displaced knee cap - Baseball Injury

Story by Jim Hill- Shaklee Distributor

I'm a 47 year-old marathon runner who played baseball in high school, so my answer is coming from that perspective.

The problem with this type of injury is that it can happen again and again if it is not rehab'ed properly. So, he should insist on getting good rehab. I see that it is important to strengthen the hip abductors and hip flexors that help stabilize the kneecap.

The rebuilding work he will be doing is driven by 3 major components: complete proteins, slow burning carbohydrates (i.e. low glycemic), and healthy fats.

Physique is excellent post-workout for replenishing the body with the carbs it needs for energy and the protein it needs for rebuilding and strengthening.

Cinch is my meal of choice and I alternate the soy with the whey to get protein from different sources because I believe we are usually better off to vary our sources of healthy nutrients. I like the taste of the shakes made with vanilla soymilk, but everyone has their own favorite taste. It's not unusual for me to throw in some frozen strawberries and blueberries to boost the nutrient and antioxidant content. For a dessert and meal in one I use one scoop of cafe latte and one scoop of chocolate Cinch, some ice, 8 oz. of vanilla soy milk, some spring water, and top it off with a generous portion of chocolate syrup (the sugar isn't so healthy, but mmm, mmmm good).

I find nothing better for my joints than Osteomatrix and Alfalfa Complex. Don't cut these nutrients short! My base level is 2 Osteomatrix, 2 times a day and 8 Alfalfa, 2 times a day. When I have an injury or some pains that indicate an injury may be coming I increase these levels. Don't be shy with the Alfalfa. The Persians called Alfalfa "the father of all foods " and said it made their horses strong and fast. It's one of the few food crops whose roots reach down 15-25 feet in the soil and bring up precious trace minerals into the leaves.

The 3rd product I add for joints is Omega-Guard which gives complete complex of Omega-3 fatty acids. Most of us are terribly out of balance when it comes to our ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 fatty acids. Scientific research has shown that all the major anti-inflammatory health benefits start to be seen as we approach a ratio of 1:1 (i.e. an equal amount of Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids). For more info about the research go tohttp://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0753332202002536 and click on the PDF link at the top of the page to download the paper. Without these healthy fats my joints start to feel "dry". It's like I'm a tin man and they need oil.

There are 2 specialty products that I use for pain: Pain Relief Complex and Joint and Muscle Pain Cream. I use these like I would an aspirin or Tylenol and Ben-Gay.

For joint rebuilding I use Joint Health Complex, but I've found that it is only helpful for me for about a week and then my joints start to feel too "full" and it seems like I am overdoing a good thing.

One thing I haven't said is that I combine all of this with the basic Vitalizer and Vivix. I'm not sure how important Vivix would be for him at this point in his life, but Vitalizer is a must! Everyone needs this base level of nutritional supplementation. It's amazing to me that we can get this powerhouse of organic, pure supplementation at the prices Shaklee offers. Can you imagine what it would cost to go to Whole Foods or your local market and buy all the organic produce, then bring it home and test it for purity like Shaklee does?

Resveratrol Shown to Reduce Deadly Brain Plaque by 90%

Alzheimer’s disease is a devastating condition that is characterized by the formation of protein amyloid plaques that attack the neural synapses and prevent normal chemical and electrical signaling activity in the brain. Medical researchers aren’t certain whether this plaque is the cause of Alzheimer’s disease or a normal byproduct of cellular metabolism that remains behind to provoke the memory-robbing condition.
The British Journal of Pharmacology provides evidence to explain how plaque is formed in the absence of friendly endothelial nitric oxide (eNOS) that disrupts blood pressure, lipid levels and glucose in the brain. Resveratrol can increase eNOS levels in the brain and lower the impact of deadly plaques seen in Alzheimer’s disease.

Friendly Nitric Oxide Decline Leads to Plaque Formation.

Friendly nitric oxide is essential to the proper function of our vascular system. eNOS allows vessels and arteries to contract and expand so blood can effectively circulate to deliver nutrients and oxygen throughout the body. When eNOS production is inhibited, blood pressure rises and problems with blood glucose and cholesterol metabolism become evident.
A current study in the journal PLoS ONE demonstrates that as plaque begins to accumulate at the neural synapses eNOS production declines, compounding the problem. Free radicals multiply in the brain as a consequence of the increasing amyloid load and extensive damage to delicate brain structures essential to cognitive function and memory ensue.
Resveratrol is a natural protective compound found in high concentrations in red grapes, red wine, purple grape juice, peanuts and some berries. The nutrient has been the subject of extensive research as it has been shown to mimic the effect of caloric restriction known to extend healthy life span. New evidence explains how resveratrol can reduce amyloid plaque burden in the aging brain.

Resveratrol Increases Nitric Oxide Levels and Prevents Plaque Formation

Reporting in the journal Neurochemistry International, researchers have found that resveratrol activates an enzyme that helps make friendly eNOS and can break the plaque-formation cycle that is associated with the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. The researchers were able to show that resveratrol significantly inhibits plaque formation by as much as 90%.
The researchers concluded that their study “supports the concept that onset of neurodegenerative disease may be delayed or mitigated with use of dietary chemo-preventive agents that protect against beta-amyloid plaque formation and oxidative stress.”This evidence provides further support to the protective nature of natural nutrients to prevent and halt the development of a host of deadly chronic diseases.
Along with resveratrol, research has demonstrated the power of blueberries and grape seed extract to lower the risks associated with brain aging and cognitive decline. Each nutrient targets the expression of specific genes responsible for the progression of dementia and memory-robbing illnesses. People with a familial history of cognitive disease or early onset symptoms should consider supplementing with 50 to 200 mg of resveratrol daily to prevent or reverse amyloid plaque development.
